Nepal –

Day 20 – 24 hour Relay Fasting in Solidarity with Tibetans in Tibet: 

74 new participants were students and teachers from Songtsen Brikuti High School, Tichuli Baudha. Chithue Yungdrung Gyaltsen la addressed this group of youths and also read out TSC press release.
 
Arrests and injured: 
64 young Tibetans arrested were detained at the Maharajganj police barrack 2 while another 36 were detained at Amnanagar police station. They were arrested outside the Chinese Visa Section at Hattisar. By 8:00pm, the 64 detained were released. 2 injuried people were taken to OM hospital for check up by the NTSF “Meinshzab rukhag”. Meal was served before the detained group was released by NTSF Meinshzab rukhag.
 
Dehradun –

1. 28th April 2008: In completion of 49 days since hundreds of Tibetan lost their lives in China’s recent clampdown on peaceful Tibetan demonstrators, all the monasteries convened special prayers and performed special funeral rites. Thousands of butter lamps were offered.   
2. A large number of Tibetan gathered for mass prayer at Gandhi Maidan in Dehradun to pay their homage to the Tibetan martyrs who laid down their lives for Tibet cause. Shri. Heera Singh Bisht, Former Minister of State Tourism addressed the gathering to express his support and solidarity to the ongoing Tibetan movements.  

Dharamsala –

1. 2nd May 2008: Relay hunger strike continued.
3. Around 1,000 people participated in the candle light peace procession.  
4. Photo exhibition on recent killings in Tibet continued. 
5. Continued to offer thousand butter lamps for all those who died in the recent killings in Tibet.
