The Solidarity actions around the world in the support of present crisis in Tibet.

April 13 report

Hyderabad -

South Zone Tibetan Settlement Solidarity Committee organized two days of peaceful protests in Hyderabad on April 10 and 11, 2008. On April 10th, about 700 Tibetans from all four South Settlements i.e. Lugsam, Delar, Rabgayling & Dhondenling, and Tibetan community of Bangalore, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Vijaywada & Hyderabad attended. Another 300 Jai Bharat activitists participated in the peaceful protest from Ghoshala to Indra Park. The following speakers Shri Satyanarayan Reddy, Ex-Governor of UP State, Shri Shekhar Kammula, popular Film Director, Smt. Ravela Arun, a Socialist & Retd. Lecturer of Nagarjuna, addressed the crowd. Students of Sera-Jey performed a mock trail of Chinese armies killing peaceful Tibetan demonstrators. Their play received massive attention from the medias. 
In the evening, from 6:30 to 8PM, a peaceful march with candle light vigil from Indra Park to Ghoshala was conducted. Mr. Ramana Murthy, Editor of Vijay Viharan Magazine addressed the gathering & assured his support for the Tibetan cause and also to mobilize activities in this front.  
On the second day, peace march from Ghoshala to Indra Park was organized. In the morning, a press conference was held in the press club of Hyderabad. 
On 12th April, upon return from Hyderabad, from 1-6PM, around 600 Tibetans sat on a hunger strike at Bangalore. The gathering was addressed by Shri B.N. Murthy, VHP & Shri P.G.R. Sindhia, Ex-Home & Finance Minister of Karnataka State. 
On 13th April, Karnataka Rajya Dalita Sangharsha Samithi (R) in solidarity to the Tibetan cause sat on 6 hours hunger strike at Dharna, in front of Gandhi Statue at Cubbon Park, Bangalore. 100 members of Karnataka Rajya Dalitha Sangharsha Samithi (R) participated in the Dharna. 

Dharamsala -

Around two hundred people gathered at Lhabsoeri for sangsol. Dharamsala's Relay hunger strike continued with thirty students from Spiti Student Association. Supporters were successful in distributing countless pamphlets. Dolma recitation at Tsuglakhang continued to occur. In the evening, around 3,000 people participated in the candle light peace procession. Around 20 Japanese also participated in the procession where one of the Japanese also addressed the gathering and expressed his support for Tibetans.  

Kollegal -
As per the direction of Tibetan Solidarity Committee, Tibetans in Kollegal observed mass prayer day to express solidarity and support for all those Tibetans who have been killed, injured, and imprisoned during the recent uprisings in Tibet. The prayer was particularly dedicated to martyr who sacrificed their life for the cause of Tibet. Everyone held special prayers and offered oil lamps during the prayers. 
Another activity of Kollegal Solidarity Committe was an indefinite relay hunger strike in front of the Syndicate bank. Everyone who participated in the hunger strike recited dolmas and prayed the whole time. Many even joined the shaving head action to express deep sadness and grievance.
